About Jonah's Kitchen
Originally opened in 2021 by Chef Jonah Johnson, Jonahs Kitchen quickly became a Santa Monica staple. Combining a blend of Latin, Caribbean & Asian flavors our menu is not only inspired by Johnsons global travels but also the unique culinary landscape of his hometown Los Angeles. From sashimi grade fish to carefully sourced meats Jonah uses a variety of techniques along with seasonal and fresh ingredients to provide each guest with a rustic, wood fire grilled experience packed with bold flavors.
Open for dinner service Monday- Saturday, Jonahs boasts a range of spaces to enjoy your meal. Our main dining room provides guests a chance to watch their food being cooked on our Santa Maria grill while surrounded by lush greenery and a lively atmosphere. Our back room is candle lit, romantic and provides views of the night sky with our open air roof. The tiki bar also offers guests a great space to lounge, dine and enjoy a variety of unique cocktails.
Chef Jonah Johnson
Jonah Johnson is a California raised celebrity chef who has worked with many notable clients over his career. He is also credited for creating the menu at GOAL a sports cafe in West Hollywood known for its lively atmosphere and innovative, everything made from scratch menu. Jonahs passion for cooking started at the age of 10 when his father began teaching him and he hasn't looked back since. Johnson has also collaborated with many nutritionists giving him a deep understanding of how the body uses nutrients in food and the relationship between diet and overall health. As a celebrated private chef he has traveled the world and had an array of unique culinary and dining experiences that continue to influence his cooking today.
